This beautiful little puppy bridged a new generation of children with one of the most trusted brands in the world. Originally created for the Dallas Chapter, Piper spread to other chapters nationwide. Pipers were originally paid for by community charities and foundations, allowing no upfront cost to the ARC. Each Piper then became a fundraising tool priced at $100.00 each. With 8000 Pipers the ARC raised $800,000.00 for those in need.
Phebe wrote and illustrated the book, You’re Loved, But This You Knew, for use by individual chapters to accompany Piper and be distributed upon arrival at a disaster scene. This book was printed in a 4 x 6 size, and paid for by local sponsors to each chapter. 4000 copies are in use. The book is now available for purchase on Amazon and at booksellers under the new title, Why Me? Positive Verse for Loss and Sadness, by Phebe Phillips, available in both English and Spanish. It is the same text, only the title changed.
